Performing Companies are
a lot of work and a lot
of fun. We focus on
performing not competing.
Company Dancers perform
many routines at both
recitals per year and at
numerous outside
performances. Past
performances have

Cherry Creek Dance
Performing Companies are
by audition only. To
audition, you must have a
headshot and resume.
Headshots will be taken
through the CCD
photographer . If
auditioning for Company you may also learn
some other choreography
on the spot and make up
four 8's of your own in
any style. Ability, age,
size, dancing style,
looks, etc. all determine
where you will
place in Company. More
information will be
available in the audition
packet. Company
Dancers must be skilled
in ballet, tap, jazz and
hip-hop. Company is a
HUGE commitment in time
and attitude for both
dancers and their
parents. Depending on
your Level, you are
required to take classes
2 or 3 weekdays per week
anywhere from 2 to 5
hours a night. Classes
are taken in all
disciplines of dance.
Also plan on 2
Fridays or Saturdays a month that
are only for
choreography. The
Friday/Saturday before an
outside show, there will
be rehearsal. The 4
Friday/Saturdays before a
recital, there will be
rehearsal. Company
calendars are handed out
with audition packets so
plan accordingly. There
is no way to make up a
Friday/Saturday rehearsal, so it
is extremely important
that you attend each and
every one.
Then we give you a
custom schedule to place
you in the weekly classes
that are right for you.
For any class that you
miss, you are required to
make up a class in the
same discipline. We want
all students to look the
best that they can.
Therefore, all Company
Members perform in at
least one production
number and usually
several additional
numbers at each recital.
Plan on spending
about $400 - $500 a year
on Company costumes. We
try and reuse these as
much as possible. Company is based out
of both locations. We are happy to
talk with and suggest
classes for an potential
Company Dancer.
