Ms. Christianson recently moved to the Denver area and is excited to be a part of the Cherry Creek family. Prior to Colorado, Ms. Christianson danced professionally with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines for 3 years performing full production Broadway style shows that highlight multiple styles of dance including Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Ballroom, and Ballet. She also filled the role of Dance Captain for the majority of her contracts where she managed the entire production cast, and was responsible for the upkeep and integrity of the shows.

Ms. Christianson began her dance training at the age of 5. She has intensely studied Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Ballroom. Her training began with Joni Messlers Studio of Dance in Gainesville, FL. Her training extends throughout the country to South Carolina Dance Conservatory, American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet School, DANCE Sun Country, Oberlin Dance Collective, Lines Ballet, Janice Garrett, Robert Moses, Spotlight Dance Center, Orlando Ballet School, Central Florida Ballet, and Hardrive Productions.

Her performance credits include Sun Country Dance Theatre, Treasure Tavern Dinner Theatre, Universal Studios Orlando, Spotlight Entertainment, Concept 04, Fascinating Rhythm Productions, and most recently Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

Ms. Christianson has also enjoyed teaching throughout her performing career. She has been an instructor at numerous schools in Orlando, and has served on the faculty at DANCE Sun Country, as well as a rehearsal coach and choreographer for Sun Country Dance Theatre. During this time, Emily was responsible for classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Modern for children ranging from as little as 3 to as advanced as seniors in high school. She also led numerous summer dance camps, each themed and tailored towards specific levels and age groups. She has choreographed and rehearsed numerous numbers for the company and was actively involved in many of the studios annual recital.

Ms. Christianson also holds an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from the University of Central Florida. She’s very excited to bring her performing and teaching experience to the students of Cherry Creek Dance!
