Lyrical/Contemporary is a style of dance that encourages the expression of emotion and storytelling through choreography and movement derived from the lyrics. Lyrical dance incorporates some techniques from ballet, modern and jazz but is a constant evolving style of dance. These classes are offered for ages 6 through advanced adults.
Special attendance requirements for leveled lyrical and contemporary
Lyrical 5-8: Strongly recommended to take one ballet class each week.
Lyrical I & II & III: Strongly recommended to take one ballet class each week.
Lyrical/Contemporary IV, V/VI: Strongly recommended to take at least ballet class each week.
Teen Ballet: Strongly recommended to take at least ballet class each week.
Adult Contemporary/Jazz: Beginner to advanced levels welcomed!
