Ashley grew up in a dance family- her mother was a teacher and her aunt owned a dance studio in the small town of Hannibal, Missouri. As soon as she could walk, Ashley attended her first combo class! She went on to dance competitively from ages 5 to 18 in jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip hop. During her high school years, she was an assistant dance teacher at Karen’s Dance Academy for dancers of all ages.

While attending Saint Louis University, Ashley was a four year member and captain of the Saint Louis University Dance Team, where she was awarded Student-Athlete of the Year in 2017. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a Minor in Dance Performance.

Ashley went on to pursue her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Eastern Illinois University. While attending EIU, Ashley was head coach of the EIU cheer and dance teams.
