Joy HuangJazz Funk Hip Hop

Joy began dancing at 11 years old. She trained at Nor Cal Dance Arts in contemporary, jazz, hip hop, acro, and ballet under the directorship of Tawnya Kuzia. She majored in Biology and Asian studies at Bowdoin College, where she also started her own dance company. Her other dance experiences include choreographing the opening number for the USC Xpressions show in 2018, performing at Carnival in LA, and teaching/choreography experience in contemporary, jazz, and jazz funk. She attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she decided to specialize in pediatrics.

About Joy

She will be a resident physician at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital in June.
